<Description>
<DescriptionText><text>
During final registration, we want to push the plate hard against the pins to ensure good contact. The force
required to ensure good contact with thick plates may cause thinner plates to buckle. This parameter was added
so that those thinner plates can be pushed less.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
The amount the plate is pushed back in is:
punch_jog_back_in + (305-thickness) * punch_push_scale / 100
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
If the pps parameter is set to 0, there is no difference between thin and thick plates. If the parameter is set to 100
(default), a 0.006" plate will be pushed 0.152mm less than a 0.012" plate. The parameter will have to be increased higher
before a noticable difference will be produced.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
This parameter was introduced in firmware version 1.40. Unfortunately, it was not implemented properly in that version.
Plates of thickness less than 305um will actually be pushed much harder against the pins - up to 65mm further. Obviously,
that will cause trouble. With that firmware version, the "alpos pps" parameter should be set to 0 to avoid problems.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
In summary, this parameter should be set to 0 if running V1.40 firmware. This problem is fixed in V1.42 firmware.
